Hurray! We did it! Despite the rain, sharp wind and a chilly morning, all the participants gathered together at the upper terrace of the central embankment on 24 September to join the brightest charity run.

Every person above 14 years old could join the 5 km charity run, supporting the initiative of Yelena Isinbaeva, two-time Olympic champion. The oldest runner was a 59 years old man, and in total 382 runners joined the charity event. All the raised money (302 400 rubles) was directed for sports ground construction in Sredneakhtoubinsk social service center. As soon as the sports ground opening date is announced, we will invite all those people, who supported the project.

The total distance of the run amounted to 5.2 km, starting at the upper terrace of the central embankment, through Chuikova Street till the Marshall Rokossovsky monument and backward. Each 5th kilometer of the race was marked with colorful fireworks made of clean, dry and eco-friendly colors.

Different photo zones with instant photo printing, as well as hot beverages and friendly atmosphere with funny contests and souvenirs have been prepared for the spectators during the charity run.

Several Olympic champions joined the Charity Color Run this year – Yelena Isinbaeva, Yelena Slesarenko, Maxim Opalev, and also honored guests and Olympic champions – Natalya Vorobyova and Dmitry Trunenkov, who gave some warm-up exercises for the runners. Colonel Mikhail Baryshev, Head of Central Army Sport club, and OlesyaZykina together with Marina Kuptsova, field athletes, also joined the charity run this year.

We thank everyone, who has overcome their personal limits and joined the Charity Color Run, despite the nasty weather conditions!
